My 25+ year career started in film and video production working on TV commercials, documentaries and music videos, producing content that audiences enjoy, engage with, and love. What this taught me to appreciate was that even though the technology is essential to the process, it is worth little if you are not telling the right story.
I’ve always managed to balance working across the marketing/advertising industry as well as higher education. This balance has helped me develop and nurture my own communication style to help clients and students to learn and become empowered communication professionals in an ever-changing and demanding environment. To know your audience, understand what they need and know how and when to talk to them.
